WSP recently completed an unprecedented shipping operation for overseas delivery. The company typically transports its heat treatment equipment using standard container vessels, with oversized components placed on flat rack containers.

However, this project presented unique challenges. New solutions had to be found to transport the biggest parts ever manufactured at WSP for international delivery.

To solve this logistical problem, the company employed RoRo (Roll On/Roll Off) shipping—a method commonly used for automobiles and trucks. This approach allowed WSP to transport unusually large components that wouldn’t fit conventional container configurations.

The shipping operation was carried out in partnership with EUKOR Car Carriers Inc., selected for this particular transport operation.
